Medieval Jesters

Jester: "One given to jesting; a fool or buffoon at medieval courts". Are you the type whose words are intended to cause merriment or whose actions rouse laughter? If so, this costume was made for you. A multi-pointed collar on a multi-colored tunic topped with a multi-color Jester hat gives you your chance to be "multi-talented" and work the crowd! Of course the medieval court jester started his work around 1202 (that would be in years, not clock time)! Jesters did physical comedy, juggling, and acrobats as well as acted as performing musicians. Their cool clothes were a result of patching odds and ends of cloth to make something warm to wear. Jesters were treated badly and often beheaded when the king was in a bad mood. So remember - "leave them laughing"!
