Makeup for Face painting

The best makeup for face painting at children's parties is a water-based liquid that can be found in costume make up kits. It will dry so that when a child touches it, it will not rub off. Plus, simple soap and water cleans up the wee cherubs faces at the end of play time. However, please remember that red and yellow tend to stain ever so slightly on very light skin. If this does occur do not be concerned as the color will fade on its own. Costume make up can be applied with brushes or Q-tips. Hint - for easy cleaning when using liquid makeup, pour into Styrofoam egg cartons. You can even create you own "hue" as you will have plenty of individually colored spots to create in!
