Creating an Animal Costume Makeup Application
Okay, so you've chosen your child's animal costume. Whether it's a cat, dog, or even a little ladybug... it is time for makeup. On clear paper, outline features of the animal's face, and then transfer to your little one's. Remember to make simple and exaggerated features, enlarge the eyes and mouth as these are the most expressive parts. When white makeup is being used, it should be put on first, before other colors (this prevents blending tones and creating a muddy look). Extra Special Tips: If using latex, test on a small area of skin before using to check for rashes. Do not get near hair or clothing as it cannot dissolve. Dry latex has a sticky surface. Powder each area after you dry it. To remove, peel off. For difficult areas, use warm soapy water.
