Creating a roman costume toga

Don't be afraid to go Roman for Halloween. Afterall, a toga party is not the only time and place for a toga costume! If you want to make your own toga, begin by taking 3 to 4 yards of cotton or muslin material. The traditional toga is white of course, but you could choose something flashier to reflect your personality or a theme. Hold the length of fabric horizontally to your body and wrap the fabric around your waist about 1.5 times, sort of like your towel when you get out of the shower. Togas can be pinned or tied depending on the level of your skills! Throw the remainder of the fabric over your shoulder. Bring the hanging fabric back to your waist. Tie the fabric together with a colored sash or masculine leather belt.
