Differences between a male roman and Greek costume

Men's and women's togas are styled differently even though a similar toga style has been popularized in the media. A toga costume for men is actually a simpler, tubular garment or tunic like garment. It consists of two large pieces of rectangular fabric sewn at the shoulders and down the sides. You need to leave slit openings for the head and arms, but otherwise the garment is as simple as it can be. To accessorize your manly toga costume, you can actually sew a shorter seam on the sides of the toga, which reveals a knee-length tunic that is sleeveless or short-sleeved and of a more dramatic fabric beneath. Then accessorize it with a wide shawl.
