Group Costume Ideas for Teens

Tuesday, September 13th, 2011

You may be getting a little too old to be trick or treating, but you are never too old to dress up in costume with your friends. There are so many unique, clever and fun group costumes for teens that will be a hit this year if you plan on going to a great Halloween costume party or just want to dress up and walk down the halls together at school.

Some great group costume ideas come from past decades. Dressing up in poodle skirts, greaser jackets and pink ladies jackets is a fun way to bring back the sock hop look of the 1950’s. These Halloween costumes are easy to wear together in a group. You can also dress up together as hippies from the 1960’s or new wavers from the 1980’s.

One of the easiest and most colorful group costume ideas is to dress up like the candy that melts in your mouth, not in your hand. That’s right, an M&M’s group costume is the perfect costume for friends who don’t want to deal with wearing face make up and a whole lot of accessories, but still want to make heads turn in the hall. Plus, everyone can dress up in his or her favorite M&M color.

If you want to dress up with your friends in a scary group costume, think clowns or zombies…better yet a group of clown-zombies. If you are on a cheerleading squad or a competitive team, a sports team dressing up in their uniforms as zombies or the undead is a fun way to show team spirit on Halloween.

There are so many great group costume ideas from movies such as Gru and his minions from Despicable Me, The Incredibles and The Wizard of Oz Gang. You can see a full display of our Group Costumes ideas here. But, don’t be afraid to get creative and come up with some of your own! Are you going to dress up with your friends this year?
