Make Your Own Strawberry Shortcake Halloween Costume

Begin your Strawberry Shortcake outfit by laying out the pinafore apron on
a flat surface. Cut three green diamonds out of green felt and hot glue them
in a row near the bottom center of the apron. Using the pink permanent marker,
draw a row of “X” shapes along the bottom of the apron.

Next, wear the red long-sleeved dress, placing the pinafore over the dress
and tying it in the back. Pull on the green and white striped knee socks and
pull the pantaloons on underneath the dress skirt, preferably so they show a
little. Put on the brown shoes.

Prepare Strawberry Shortcake’s bonnet by cutting lengths of red yarn for bangs
and hair and hot gluing them into the inside of the cap, so they hang down.
Hot glue the plastic strawberry onto the top of the cap, and use the red and
green markers to add small strawberries throughout the cap. Stuff the top of
the cap with cotton batting and place it on your head, tying the wide red ribbon
just above the ruffle. Place the cap on your head.

Finally, cut out little circles from the white felt, and hot glue them, scattering
them across the pink stuffed cat, to mimic the look of Strawberry Shortcake’s
feline companion, Custard. Finish off the outfit by drawin freckles on your
nose and cheeks with brown eyeliner, and creating the character’s rosy glow
with plenty of blush makeup.
