March 20^th marked the first official day of spring 2011 and with it came 35 degree weather and a touch snow! But here at Anytime Costumes we can tell by your orders that spring is indeed in the air. More often then not, after the October  Halloween Costume season and the December Christmas seasons have ended and the February Mardi Gras parties have passed us bye, we are undoubtedly asked by our friends and customers, “What kinds of costumes do people need this time of year?”

Generally, the first reply we have to that question is “Easter Costumes”. Immediately they assume we’re referring to those big Easter Bunny Mascot costumes you see at Easter Egg Hunts and Family Easter functions. Any while we do offer a great selection of Easter Bunny Costumes, there are many more items that are popular this season. Many Church groups and organization stock up on costume Roman Armor and complete Roman Gladiator costumes for their Easter Pageants and plays. Along that same vein adult and child Angel costumes, Biblical Shepherd costumes and Jesus costumes are also popular in the spring. We also see a lot of Egyptian Pharaoh Costumes move through the warehouse for local productions of The Ten Commandments!

The coming of spring also means there will be lots of little ladybugs and bumble bees buzzing around class rooms and performing in school auditoriums. This time of year, in addition to making sure students are focused on homework and learning their lines, teachers are in search of our silver and gold costume insect antenna and costume wings. It’s a safe bet to say that costume butterfly wings, lady bug wings and bee wings are also at the top of the list for spring time costume accessories.

And finally our list would not be complete without the mention of costume gloves, top hats, derby hats and dance canes often purchased by Dance Schools and dance instructors. With dance recital season quickly approaching, we always need to stock up on these popular costume accessories to be sure we can fill every order that comes our way.
