Scream 4 is scheduled to hit theaters on April 15th but those famous GhostFace Scream Masks and costumes have already hit the shelves of Anytime Costumes and other costume shops around the county.
Scream is a series of American horror slasher films created by Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven. The first Scream movie was released back in December of 1996 and is currently the highest grossing slasher film in the US. And as you can imagine, the Scream Ghostface Mask was by far the most popular Horror Movie mask the following Halloween season.
Scream 4 is the fourth installment in the Scream series and stars an ensemble cast of David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere. In this movie, Sidney Prescott (played by Neve Campbell) once again comes face to face with her greatest fears when ten years later Ghostface reappears on a murderous mission.
So what does the release of Scream 4 mean for the Halloween Costume industry?
Well for one thing, you can be sure there will be lots of Ghostface masks and robes running from door to door trick or treating this Halloween. You’ll see both the traditional vinyl scream mask and the super cool bleeding scream masks. But in addition to masks, Easter Unlimited Inc. / Fun World is introducing some great NEW Scream costume products that are sure to get some attention!
Our favorite is the adult sexy Ghost Face costume dress. It’s generating lots of excitement within the costume industry and based on last years popularity of the adult Sexy Chucky costume and the Nightmare on Elm Street sexy Miss Kruger costume, this one will be a big hit with the ladies!
