Don’t Pass on the [Thanksgiving Costume] Dressing!

So many people only associate putting on a costume with one holiday a year, but in all honesty can you think of a better time to put on a turkey costume, pilgrim costume or Native American Indian costume than Thanksgiving? Neither can we.

Halloween may be over but that’s no reason to stop thinking about getting dressed up. In fact, any costume lover would say that what you ought to be thinking about right now is how you’ll make an entrance in a spectacular Thanksgiving costume at the next holiday celebration.

Looking to get everyone involved? How about this wild idea? Unless we were to conduct a nationwide poll there’s probably no way of knowing how many people actually sit down for a Thanksgiving feast these days where everyone in attendance is dressed in a pilgrim costume or Indian costume (or in a turkey costume for that matter). And while we can’t say that we’ve actually done this ourselves, the idea of getting together a whole group of people in costume to relive the original Thanksgiving event is a pretty entertaining idea. With all the Thanksgiving costume options out there it would be easy to dress up everyone in the family, from children and parents to Grandpas and Grandmas.

Do it to entertain the kids, use it as a prop to help remind everyone that we should always be grateful for what we have, or wear it just for fun. Regardless of what you use your Thanksgiving costume for, one thing is certain, when you put it on everyone will be thankful for that person who understands wearing a great costume isn’t just about Halloween. Don’t let the good food get all the attention this holiday season, dressing up in a great Thanksgiving costume will undoubtedly be a crowd pleaser.

So are you going to gobble up a Thanksgiving costume this year? If so, we’d love to hear about your costume plans.
