From the 1880s to the 1950s, this holiday parade was a popular event in New York City. Today it is now know as the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival and is an all-day affair. Secular parades are held in many places, including London, New Orleans, various Walt Disney theme parks and Toronto. The attire has changed since parades first began. Outfits range from elegant attire and the newest fashion to historical dress and outrageous garb. Many participants wear costumes and a rabbit mascot is the perfect thing to wear.
